Col. Gail Peck gave birth to the Red Eagles who flew Soviet fighters against American ones in training in the late 1970s and 1980s. The Raptors joined a pair of MiG fighters in honor of the former commander of the Air Force squadron that flew classified missions using Soviet jets in the late 1970s and 1980s.
