The AGM-154 Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW) is a glide bomb designed to provide fleet forces with an air-to-ground weapon with a standoff capability. The JSOW is a launch-and-leave weapon that can be launched from over 110 kilometers away from a target. It gives the U.S. Navy a low-cost, accurate method of attacking defended targets at standoff distances.
